What’s the best season for Senior Pictures?

short answer: The season you love most! Don’t wait until two weeks before school’s out like everyone else.

Pick the season that you love most, or do a 4 seasons session and represent each one!

Four Season Senior Sessions

Here in Utah Em J Photography’s most popular Senior Photography Session season is Spring, with fall as a close second.

These 2 seasons fill up fast so book early. I personally LOVE winter/snow sessions and summer wildflowers!

You can’t go wrong in Utah, we are blessed with the best!

Here are some other things to consider when choosing a season for your senior pictures:

  • Weather: If you're worried about bad weather, spring and fall are both good options. The weather is usually mild and sunny during these seasons.

  • Location: If you have a specific location in mind, you'll need to choose a season that's conducive to shooting outdoors. For example, if you want to get your pictures taken in a park, spring or fall would be a good choice.

  • Clothing: Think about what you want to wear in your senior pictures. If you want to wear light, summery clothes, spring would be a good option. If you want to wear fall colors, fall would be a good choice.

  • Your schedule: If you have a busy schedule, you may want to choose a season that's less popular for senior pictures. This will give you more flexibility in terms of scheduling your shoot.

Ultimately, the best season for senior pictures is the one that works best for you. Consider your needs and preferences when making your decision.

Emily Julander

Owner – Newborn Specialist

I am a feisty, fun, driven artist with a fierce loyalty to family and friends. I love the Crossfit and the outdoors, but I balance that love with a love of ice cream and Netflix (everything needs balance). My job is the best job around and fabulous hubby and four kids are my biggest cheerleaders. I do all I do for them, just trying to get by like the rest of the world. I love Jesus, and find that love through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don’t like drama, public speaking or moody teenagers. That’s me in a nutshell…oh and cheese is the best part of life!
